Jean Merrell Burnette

Mrs. Norma Jean Merrell Burnette, age 87 of Murfreesboro, TN. passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Burnette was born on February 28, 1932 in Orlando, FL to the late Lettie Z Hendley. She was also preceded in death by her step father William Horton Hendley, sisters, Joyce Healan, Mildred Rupp, husbands, Carlton Ray Merrell, Jerry Lynn Burnette and a son Glenn Merrell.She was a homemaker and member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Murfreesboro, TN.

Son: Dennis (Jo) Merrell of Murfreesboro, TN

Special Daughter: Karen (Tony) Jones of Camden, TN

Sister: Avis Liebenstein of Kissimme, FL

Five Grandchildren

Eleven Great Grandchildren

One Great Great Grandchild

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11 am at the Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Spivey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.

Visitation with the Burnette family will be on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 6:00-9:00 pm and again on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 9:00-11:00 am.
