Sis. Marie Donnette Simon

Marie Donnette Simon, age 76 a disciple of the Lord, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend, Writer was born on June 30, 1943 in Hollow Rock, TN. to the late Autherian “Johnny” Easley and Helen Boyd Easley. Her home going was Wednesday, August 21, 2019 @ AHC Waverly Healthcare & Senior Living in Waverly, TN.

Mrs. Simon made her home in Camden, TN after the union to the late Thomas Ray Simon. She retired from the Benton County Board Of Education as a Custodian.  After retirement, she was an avid organizer and participant of community events and church activities, involving music (Gospel Legacy), youth activities, local radio program (Sunday Evening Chat with Marie) and served as 9^th district county commissioner.

During her earlier years, she was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member of New Beginnings Church of God.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Sabrina Montez Simon; sister, Lou Ella Easley; brother, Thelma Eugene Easley; and one great grandchild Anthony Simon.

She is survived by daughter, Sylvia Easley; 3 sons, Vincent (Anna) Easley, Reginald Simon, Anthony Ray (Sherry) Simon Sr.; brother, Samuel Easley; 2 sisters, Patricia Easley , Margaret Utley. Nineteen Grandchildren: Johnathan Hayes, Sascha (Mike) Hayes, Amadeo (Debbie) Bates, Tamra Easley, Derek (Shelby) Easley, Mitchell Easley, Anthony Able, Shemaria McCombs, Aniyah Easley, Vanessa Easley, Vincent Easley Jr., Anthony Ray Simon, Jr., Kenneth Simon, Porsha Simon, Cheyanne Simon, Dakota Simon, Dallas Simon, Sabrina Marie Simon, Andre Simon; Fifteen Great Grandchildren; one Aunt; sister in law, Ethel Bradley and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 1 pm at the Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Jeff McKee. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 10:00-1:00 pm.
