Mr. Jerry Mike “Steering Wheel” Phillips age 56 of Sardis, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at his residence.
He was born May 15, 1963 in Wichita, KS to the late Ronald Phillips and Ila Butler Wood. Mr. Phillips was Baptist in faith.
A truck driver for over thirty years, he began his career with Ward’s Grain Company, INC. and most recently with French Trucking. He loved his family and friends and most of all, his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Dwina McLin Phillips of Sardis; son, Matthew Austin of Reagan; daughter, Laura Parker and husband Ken of Scotts Hill; brother, Michael Wood and wife Tina of Darby, PA; father and mother in-law, Billy and Linda Lomax of Decaturville; brother-in-law, Brian McLin and wife Sonya of Decaturville; nephew, Zack McLin and wife Turner of Decaturville. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Kenzley and Lyza.
Graveside services for Mr. Phillips will be conducted Monday, October 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery with Bro. Donald Jones and Bro. Damon Brawley officiating and burial to follow.
