C.G. Jennings

Mr. Colonel George Jennings, “C. G.”, age 75 of Camden, TN departed this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Jackson General Hospital. Mr. Jennings was born on April 9, 1944 in Benton County to the late T.R. and Birdie Jennings of Holladay, TN. He was a member of Friendship CME Church.

C.G. joined the Air Force right after high school. He trained at Lackland Air Force Base in Lackland, Tx. He also did body shop car repair and a was an insurance adjuster for the State of Washington.

He was preceded in death by parents T. R. & Birdie Jennings, Patricia Jennings; brothers, Verdell Bates, Vernon Bates; sister Lorraine Menzies.

He is survived by daughter Yolanda Jennings; brothers, James (Dorothy) Jennings, (Twin) Clarence Jennings, John (Mackie) Jennings; sisters, Mary Somerville, Theo Crawley; grandchildren Isiah Martin, Madyson Duane, Darius Duane; great grandson Isiah Martin Jr.; host of nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Deborah Shepard (girlfriend) and children Tamara, Cheryl, Elisha, and Jason for 18 years of love and care.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 4:00 pm at the Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Menzies officiating.

Visitation with the Jennings family will be on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm

The family has chosen cremation services.
