Billy Ray Phillips

Billy Ray Phillips, age 75, of Camden, TN passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Phillips was born on July 10, 1948, at Beaver Valley Hospital in Martin, KY to the late James Earl Phillips and the late Pauline Vanhoose Phillips. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Rosa Leontine Nichols Phillips; brother, James Ronald Phillips; sisters, Patricia Phillips Allen, Connie Sue Phillips Gross, and Bonnie Gean Phillips Boyd. Mr. Phillips was married to Rosa on April 1, 1967, until she passed away on September 26, 2011. He was remarried to Joanna H. Butzke Phillips on January 3, 2012 until his death.

He graduated from upper Scioto High School in 1966 and attended college at Chicago Tec, Chicago, IL, North Western Business College, OH, Roads State College, Ohio State College, CID Dartmouth, State College, PA. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 27 years. Billy accepted Jesus Christ as His Savior on January 2, 1971. He was also an ordained Minister from 1974 and became a Full Gospel Minister until the present time. Billy was a second class, Boy Scout, with 53 merit badges. He was a member of The Ford Mail Club, a 33 Degree, Mason of The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio Lodge No. 344 Ada, Ohio, a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Toledo, Ohio, a member of The Eastern Star, Ada, Ohio, Royal Arch Masons, Kenton Commandery No. 58 Knights Templar, Kenton Council No. 65, Hardin County Scottish Rite Association and a member of Masonic Home Endowment Fund.

            Tobias Lee Phillips of Camden, TN

Daughter: Tabitha Sue (Phillips) and husband, Matthew Leroy Klingler of Ada, OH

Sisters: Debra Phillips and Nancy Coral Phillips Ryan

Grandchildren: Taylor R. Thomas, Zoe A. Klingler, Nicholas R. Phillips, Samantha Pauline Phillips, Christopher James Phillips, Desyre Rose Phillips

Great Grandchildren: Cooper Shipley, Neyland Grace Shipley, Hadlee Phillips, Brixton Phillips

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Tates Pentecostal Church in Huntingdon, TN.

Funeral Service will on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2 PM at Tates Pentecostal Church in Huntingdon, TN with Bro. Larry DePriest officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Carroll County.
