Samuel "Sam" Watson

Mr. Samuel "Sam" Fayette Watson, age 90 of Bruceton, TN passed away on November 11, 2016 at Jackson General Hospital. Mr. Watson was born on May 31, 1926 in Benton County, TN to the late William Lafayette Watson and Gayle Roxanne Stewart Watson. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Bob Watson and sisters: Mary Smith and Mina Butler. Mr. Waston  was a retired Maintenance supervisor with Consolidated Aluminum, a member and Deacon of Sandy Point General Baptist Church, a Mason for 60 years and a U.S. WWII Navy Veteran who served on the USS Buckley as gunner captain. Survived by:Wife: Elyease Baker Watson of Bruceton, TNDaughters: Joyce (Ricky) Reed of Jackson, TN                 Jean (Jerry) Chandler of Camden, TN                 Donna (Gary) Moore of Camden, TNSister: Jewell Farrar of Ooltewah, TNGrandchildren: Jeana Durst, A.J. Mike Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandy Point Cemetery. Visitation with the Watson family will be on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Oakdale Funeral Home and again on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Sandy Point General Baptist Church.
