George Paul Dobra

Mr. George Paul Dobra, age 90 of Big Sandy, TN passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Paris Healthcare in Paris, TN. Mr. Dobra was born January 14, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Gabriel Dobra and Sida Arglean Dobra. He was, also preceded in death by his first wife: Dorothy Baker Dobra, son: George Walter Dobra, grandson: Lyndsey Cuthbertson, brothers: Gabriel Dobra, John Dobra, Michael Dobra, Edward Dobra, William Dobra, sisters: Esther Czarki, Betty Brown, Julia Dobra. Mr. Dobra was a retired Operating Engineer for the H.C. Linger Company, as well as a building Contractor. He was a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers Union, a member of Bakers Chapel United Methodist Church, a Veteran of the United States Marine Core and a first generation Hungarian.Survivors include:Second Wife: Shirley Forsythe Dobra of Big Sandy, TNDaughters: Lynn (Gary) Dicus of Paris, TN                 Alice (Ronnie) Cuthbertson of Paris, TNBrother: Eddie Dobra of Ohio Grandchildren: Robert (Amy) Fitchpatrick, Tiffany (Jessie) Pewitt, Rachel Ward, Ross Ward, Donna (Chris) Scott, David (Lisa) Dicus, Gary Dicus, Tabitha MayGreat Grandchildren: Gracie, Dylan, Kanyon, Kason, KarterGraveside Services will be conducted Monday, May 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Bakers Cemetery near Big Sandy, TN with Bro. Keith Nation officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN.
