Ray Usry

Mr. Ray Usry, age 93 of Camden, TN passed away on June 17, 2018 at NHC Place Sumner in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Usry was born on January 8, 1925 in Decatur County, TN to the late Eddie Usry and Alice Spencer Usry. Mr. Usry was also preceded in death by a son: David Usry and brother-in-law, Joe Pritchett. He was a retired Store room Supervisor with TVA in New Johnsonville, a member of Cowell's Chapel United Methodist Church where he led singing for over 60 years and served the  U.S. Army as a Surgical Technician in the Korean Occupation.Survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara McDaniel Usry of Camden, TN, his daughter, Judy (Harrell) French of Hendersonville, TN and his sister, Dorothy Pritchett of Finley, TN; Daughter in law, Gail Usry of Chapmansboro, TN; Four grandchildren; Angie (Jason) Page of Medina, TN; David (Michelle) Usry of Mt. Juliet, TN; Vicki French of Nashville, TN; and Damon (Angie) Usry of Greensboro, N.C.; seven great grandchildren; Olivia and Ashlyn Page; Sajal and Brynley Usry; Michael, Maverick and Molly Usry.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 1 PM at the Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Usry officiating. Burial will follow in the Cowell's Chapel Cemetery.Visitation with the Usry family will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
